Recognition

Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS: Stephen Webb, a senior at Free State High School, having completed all requirements including the presenting of written essays and the performance of public speaking, has been nominated as the Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence; and

WHEREAS:   Stephen Webb has achieved sound academics and is active in his school and community through football and other activities; and

WHEREAS:   Stephen began his involvement in the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence as a youth, and has continued to contribute to the organization and make a difference in the lives of club members first as part-time and now as a full-time staff member; and

WHEREAS:   Stephen intends on pursuing a career as a Criminal Psychologist to which end he will be attending Baker University;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mike Amyx, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, along with my fellow commissioners, do hereby recognize Stephen Webb, and urge all citizens of Lawrence to join us in this recognition.
