Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:   The University of Kansas football team will play in the Fed-Ex Orange Bowl on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in post-season play, rewarding the intensive training and demanding practices, and demonstrating the accomplishments and dedication of the team; and

WHEREAS:   The players, coaches, and staff involved with the University of Kansas 2007 football team are to be congratulated for receiving an invitation to the Fed-Ex Orange Bowl game; and

WHEREAS:   The team will bring national attention to Lawrence and the state of Kansas and will represent the community of Lawrence and the Lawrence community will support the team; and

WHEREAS:   The City of Lawrence, Kansas, recognizes the 2007 University of Kansas football team for being selected to play in the Fed-Ex Orange Bowl Football Game in Miami, Florida.
