Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the December 30, 2008 meeting:
Project Description. The project includes the reconstruction of Timberedge Road.
Project History. Timberedge Road is located in the industrial area north of the KTA. It predominately services Reuter Organ Co. and Standard Beverage. The road is 8” asphalt with no base and significant truck traffic. The pavement has failed and needs to be rebuilt. Current PCI = 31.35
Project Details. The project includes reconstruction of the street with 9” of concrete, including curb and gutter and base treatment. The construction will occur next spring 2009.
Project Funding. The pavement maintenance program is funded from several sources including the general fund, gas tax funds, sales tax reserve, and capital improvement reserve accounts. The 2008 projects are complete and sufficient funds remain to rebuild this street.
Action Request. Accept Bid and award construction contract to RD Johnson Excavating Co., for the sum of $164,297.30 plus 10% contingency for a total sum of $180,727.03. City Bid No. B08094, Project No. PW0830, Timberedge Road reconstruction.
