This memo provides a status of some of the larger or more visible development projects that have been processed or are being processed through the city’s development review program.  Please let me know of any questions.

Site plan approved and released.  Awaiting an executed lease with the city.  Building permit review complete.

Dunkin Donuts – 6th and Michigan

Building permit review complete.  Owner has requested that city hold building permit for near-future issuance.

Dollar General – 1001 N 3rd

Site plan approved pending conditions being met. Floodplain development review complete. Minor subdivision complete (waiting on signed mylar to record).  Building permit review complete.  Demolition application received, 30-day waiting period expires June 23, awaiting notices from utility providers that services are terminated.

Vacant lot south of Eldridge Hotel on Mass St.

Site plan approval near complete – outdoor patio space planned

Boardwalk Apts – Fireside Dr.

Revised site plan approved pending conditions being met.  Building permit application under review.

Mixed Use Bldg – 9th and N.H.

Applicant revising design.  Has requested deferral of Architectural Review Committee meeting until design complete.  Site plan substantially complete.  City owned property to the immediate west will need to be reviewed and approved for use.

Harvest Retirement – Bauer Farm

Final development plan and plat scheduled for June PC.  Building permit application has been submitted and is under review.

 

In addition, there have been 70 one and two family permits issued as of May 31st, compared to 31 in 2009 and 24 in 2008.
