November 8, 2012 Minutes (City Commission Room)

MEMBERS PRESENT:		Deron Belt, Eric Hethcoat, Quinn Miller, Julie Mitchell, James Minor, David Teixeira, Patrick Wilbur

MEMBERS ABSENT:		Vern Norwood, Aimee Polson

STAFF PRESENT:		Danelle Dresslar, Margene Swarts

PUBLIC PRESENT:		Chris Tilden, Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department

Chair Teixeira called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

1. Introductions

Members and staff introduced themselves.

2. Approval of the October 11, 2012 Minutes.

Hethcoat moved to approve the CDAC meeting minutes from

October 11, 2012. The motion was seconded by Miller and passed 7-0.

3. Presentation from Dave Corliss

Dave Corliss, City Manager, presented this PowerPoint to the Committee.

There was discussion regarding several of the upcoming projects contained in the presentation. The Committee thanked Corliss for the work that the City has accomplished over the past year as well as several of the new projects being planned.

4. Holiday Schedule.

Swarts reminded the Committee that they would not be having the second meeting in November or the second meeting in December due to the holidays. Swarts said as it stood, there was no business for the December 13 agenda, so if the Committee would like to discuss the necessity of holding that meeting they could do so.

Minor moved to cancel the CDAC meeting scheduled for December 13, 2012 due to lack of agenda items. The motion was seconded by Miller and passed 7-0.

5. Miscellaneous/Calendar.

There was no additional calendar information.

6. Public Comment.

Chris Tilden was present from the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department. He introduced himself and said he was the new Director of Community Development for the agency and that he looked forward to working with other agencies and groups in the community.

7. Adjourn.

Hethcoat moved to adjourn the November 8, 2012 meeting of the CDAC at 6:15 pm. The motion was seconded by Minor and passed 7-0.
