February 2013 Monthly Permit Reports

The Building Safety Division issued 127 building permits in February, with total construction for the month valued at $6,081,252. Total permit fees assessed for the month were $49,523.50. Permits were issued for 12 new residential projects, including 10 new single-family dwellings, 1 duplex and 1 apartment building with 22 dwelling units. Comparisons to previous years will be tracked throughout 2013 in the following table:

One permit was issued for a public project in February, for installation of an exhaust system at 320 Industrial Lane, valued at $33,000.
The highest valued project for the month was for an apartment building at 5100 W 6th Street, with construction valued at $1,063,895. The total construction valuation for the 5100 W 6th Street apartment complex project is $12,942,555, which includes the value of previously issued permits and deletion of the value of a withdrawn permit for an office building at the site. January permit reports have been revised to reflect the withdrawn permit.
Two additional permits with construction valued at $556,500 have been issued for Hallmark Cards, 101 McDonald Drive, for electrical and plumbing work associated with recent building modifications. The additional permits bring the total value of construction for building modifications to $1,156,600.
