ORDINANCE NO. 8866

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE SALE, POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to City of Lawrence Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply on the 100 block of E 7^th Street and the 100 block of E 8^th Street on 08/23/13 from 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., 08/24/13 from 11:00 a.m. – midnight, and 8/25/13 from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., associated with the Lawrence Busker Fest, provided the sale, possession and consumption are pursuant to City of Lawrence and State of Kansas law.

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
