Curbside recycling planning for October 2014 implementation
The implementation of a city-wide curbside recycling program was approved in April 2013 with the adoption of Ordinance No. 8851. City-wide collection of curbside recycling will begin in October 2014. Program planning is well underway. Attached is a timeline of the various tasks for city staff to implement the program smoothly next fall. The contract has been signed by the city and N.R. A detailed communications plan will be developed by Public Works and City Manager’s Office staff by early summer, and the detailed tasks from the Communications Plan will be added to the implementation matrix. Staff will continue to keep the City Commission updated as progress is made.
