·         Authorize staff to apply for the 2013 COPS Hiring Program (CHP) grant for funding assistance with School Resource Officers.  The grant would be for three years with grant assistance amount of $875,000 and City share would be $462,189.   Staff Memo

·         Consider a Comprehensive Plan Amendment, CPA-13-00067, to Horizon 2020 Chapter 6 Commercial Land Use and Chapter 14 Specific Plans, Revised Southern Development Plan, to expand the S. Iowa Street commercial corridor east along W. 31st Street to include 1900 W 31st Street and identify the area as a Regional Commercial Center. Submitted by Menard, Inc. Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 8869, for Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA-13-00067) to Horizon 2020 Chapter 6 Commercial Land Use and Chapter 14 Specific Plans, Revised Southern Development Plan, to expand the S. Iowa Street commercial corridor east along W. 31st Street to include 1900 W 31st Street and identify the area as a Regional Commercial Center. (PC Item 4; approved 6-3-1 on 5/20/13)

 

·         Consider a request to rezone, Z-13-00071, approximately 41.5 acres from RM12 (Multi-Dwelling Residential) to CR (Regional Commercial), located at 1900 W 31st Street. Submitted by Menard, Inc., for Mid-American Manufactured Housing, Inc., property owner of record. Deferred by Planning Commission on 4/22/13. Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 8870, to rezone (Z-13-00071) approximately 41.5 acres from RM12 (Multi-Dwelling Residential) to CR (Regional Commercial), located at 1900 W 31st Street. (PC Item 5; approved 6-3-1 on 5/20/13)

·         Second and final reading of Ordinance No. 8856, ordering through the exercise of eminent domain the condemnation of fee simple title to private property interests commonly located at 1106 Rhode Island Street, and authorizing the filing of a petition in Douglas County District Court (the ordinance was adopted on first reading on May 7, 2013).

 

·         Rental registration update.   Correspondence
