The Kansas statewide Point-In-Time homeless count was conducted on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Planning and Development Services Department staff partnered with the Lawrence Community Shelter, Bert Nash Homeless Outreach Workers, USD 497, The Salvation Army, Family Promise, The Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority and other community partners to conduct the count for Lawrence and Douglas County.
This count utilized a statewide survey tool and was a coordinated effort within the Balance of State Continuum of Care (101 counties including Douglas County). The results have been tabulated and released. Attached is the count for the City of Lawrence and Douglas County as well as an analysis of the count, prepared and reviewed by staff and the Homeless Issues Advisory Committee.
