The following equipment meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement or is no longer useful to the City. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment on Gov Deals as we have done in the past.
UTILITIES EQUIPMENT
The air compressor was replaced, due to its age, with a new up-to-date model. The backhoe jackhammer was replaced due to need of repair. The milling and drilling machine is no longer used and therefore being sold. The pumps and motors are obsolete equipment; the lift stations have been replaced. The frequency drives and transformer are being sold due to the equipment upgrade in 2012 and are no longer needed. The remainder of the equipment is scrap, no longer used, and in poor condition.
FIRE/MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
The refrigerator being sold is not working properly. The freezer freezes up and will not keep the refrigerator part cool.
VEHICLES
The 2 police cars and 4 one ton trucks are being replaced due to having high mileage and high maintenance costs. The Haz-Mat truck was replaced with a pumper Haz-Mat truck. In the past, when needed, Fire/Medical sent out the Haz-Mat truck and a pumper truck. This truck has the capability of doing both jobs.
