Award Bid No. B1762 for one (1) Rear Load Refuse truck for the Solid Waste Division to the low bidder, Downing Sales and Service, in the amount of $107,224.00, as part of the 2018 CIP (PW 18F2CIP) replacement schedule.

 

 

Executive Summary:

Solid Waste identified the replacement of rear load unit #428 in the 2018 budget and 2018 CIP (PW 18F2CIP).  Unit #428 has been identified to meet the replacement criteria that utilize age, maintenance, and upkeep.  Bids were received on Dec. 19th for the replacement of this unit.  Rear load units provide core support functions for commercial operations and bulk materials. Continued replacement of critical units enables minimal down time and continued customer survice.

The fiscal impact to the City is $107,224.00.  This unit pricing includes a trade for unit #428.   This replacement is planned in the 2018 CIP and budgeted for $140,000 (PW 18F2CIP).
