Deny Request for Traffic Calming on Cambridge Road between Avalon Road and High Drive. |

Executive Summary: |
At the December 4, 2017 Transportation Commission Meeting, the board considered a request to install traffic calming devices on Cambridge Road between Avalon Road and High Drive. Traffic data obtained during November 2017 found the street did not meet the criteria for traffic calming with an average 85th percentile speed of 29 mph (posted speed is 30 mph) and a 24-hour two-way traffic volume of 558. City staff recommended denial of the request.
One (1) resident provided email correspondence in support of traffic calming. In addition, the requestor spoke to the Commission in favor of traffic calming. The Transportation Commission voted 9-0 to recommend denial of the traffic calming request. |
