Executive Summary: |
On January 16, 2017 the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9427 amending Chapter 1, Article 18, Section 1-1802 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, regarding the Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB). Specifically, the commission increased the number of AHAB members to 12 by adding representatives of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the University of Kansas, and the Lawrence Board of Realtors.
These amendments required changes to AHAB’s bylaws. The new members were added and provided initial terms and minor revisions to the bylaws were made to account for the commission’s recent direction to create more consistent bylaws for all of the advisory boards.
AHAB reviewed and approved the bylaws by unanimous vote on February 12, 2018. Their minutes are attached.
