Executive Summary: |
A product of the City Commission’s strategic plan was to produce greater consistency in how advisory boards and committees operate. The Planning and Development Services department has been reviewing bylaws of the boards and commissions it serves to meet this directive and finds that the Planning Commission’s bylaws requires certain amendments.
Attached are amended bylaws, one document showing the changes and one clean version, for the commission’s review. Notable changes include when a member is considered to be resigned based on lack of attendance and changing the amount of time provided to someone representing a group from 5 minutes to 3 minutes to address due process issues identified by the City Attorney’s Office.
The Planning Commission reviewed and approved the bylaws by a 9-0 vote on February 21, 2018. Their minutes are attached. |
