|
Executive Summary: |
Since 2012, the City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has coordinate the bidding and management of contractual mowing services for City properties. The 2018 mowing season bids will include over 150 City-owned properties coordinated under one set of bid documents. Properties being bid are under the general management of the following department: Parks and Recreation, Utilities, Public Works, Police, Fire, and Code Enforcement. The properties have been divided by geographic location and frequency of mowing to create seven mowing districts. These districts were bid separately to allow smaller local mowing companies an opportunity to bid.
Five mowing contractors responded to the bid request (bid tab attached). Perfect Cut Lawn and Landscape provided the low bid for six of the seven districts, totaling $100,432.00. Bishop Custom Mowing provided the low bid for the remaining district with a bid of $28,300.00.
