Award Bid No. B1801 to Crossland Heavy Contractors in the amount of $118,250.00 for the procurement of mixing equipment for Oread Water Storage Tanks Project (2017 CIP# UT1307).

 

Executive Summary:

The project addresses the procurement and installation of new submersible tank mixing systems for the North and South Oread Water Tower Storage Tanks, constructed as part of the 2017 CIP project UT1307. These facilities are located in the 1200 block of Oread Avenue.

 

City Staff completed construction documents for the project, and the project was advertised on January 12, 2018.  Bids were opened for Bid No. B1801 for the procurement of mixing equipment for Oread Water Tower Storage Tanks Project UT1307 on January 30, 2018, and the bids were read publicly aloud as follows:

 

Crossland Heavy Contractors, Inc.

$118,250.00

Champion Tank Services

$158,000.00

 

City Staff have verified the bid and qualifications for Crossland Heavy Contractors and recommend awarding the bid to Crossland Heavy Contractors in the amount of $118,250.00.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source):

The fiscal impact to the City is $118,250.00.  The funding for this project is included in the Department of Utilities 2017 Amended Capital Improvement Plan for project UT1307 Oread Water Storage Tanks.
