Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Approve a Special Event Permit, SE-18-00094, for the sale of KU merchandise beginning on March 25, 2018 through April 8, 2018 in the Checkers parking lot located at 2300 Louisiana Street. Submitted by Sun Creations, Inc., on behalf of 2300 Louisiana Co, LLC, property owner of record. The event will include a sales stand in the event that the University of Kansas Basketball team reaches the NCAA Final Four.
Executive Summary:		This is a special event permit for the sale of KU merchandise in the event that the University of Kansas Basketball team reaches the NCAA Final Four.  The proposed location is in a north portion of the Checkers parking lot located at 2300 Louisiana.  This location has already had the maximum number of yearly administratively approved special event permits issued due to the seasonal garden sales that also occur on the site so this special event permit requires approval of the City Commission.  The Final Four Tent Sales does not interfere with the approved location of the seasonal garden sales and still provides adequate parking for the site.
