Executive Summary: |
One of the priority initiatives adopted with the Strategic Plan was the review of advisory boards and commissions with a desire to create a more standardization of the various advisory boards and commissions. On August 8, 2017, the City Commission received a staff report, which made certain recommendations regarding potential eliminations and consolidations of advisory boards.
One such recommendation was to consolidate of the Lawrence Alliance and the Lawrence Human Relations Commission. Staff’s recommendation is the approval of Resolution No. 7226, which allows the Lawrence Human Relations Commission to absorb the mission of the Lawrence Alliance, and to dissolve the Lawrence Alliance. |
