Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 9452, allowing the sale, possession, and consumption of alcohol in the public right-of-way on Saturday, October 6, 2018 on E. 7^th Street, from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) for the Dinner on the Curve event.
Executive Summary:		The Dinner on the Curve event organizers have applied for a street event temporary use of right-of-way permit for their 2018 event which will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will include the closure of E. 7^th Street, from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) for the Dinner on the Curve event from 10:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. They have obtained written support for the event from the adjacent business. The Event applicant has requested an ordinance authorizing the sale, possession, and consumption of alcohol on E. 7^th Street, from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) during their event. The request to sell, possess, and consume alcohol within the public right-of-way has been reviewed pursuant to City of Lawrence Code, Chapter IV, Article 1, Section 4-113 and was found to not be within 400 feet of a church or school.
