Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:

Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 9464, amending code section references in two (2) sections of Chapter V, Article 18 of the City Code, which pertains to the regulation of signs (Sign Code).  

Executive Summary:

Developments Services Staff recently noticed three (3) incorrect or incomplete references to other Sign Code sections in Sections 5-1827 (Appeals) and 5-1831 (Unlawful Acts) of the Sign Code.  Correction of these references clarifies the City’s administrative enforcement authority and ensures the City’s authority to prosecute certain violations in Municipal Court, when necessary.
