ORDINANCE NO. 9472

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE SALE, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to City of Lawrence Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply in the 100 block of E 8^th Street on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to Saturday, August 11, 2018 to 1:00 a.m., and on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 12, 2018 to 1:00 a.m. for the Sandbar Birthday Celebration, provided the sale, possession, and consumption are pursuant to City of Lawrence and State of Kansas law.

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
