ORDINANCE NO. 9463

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE SALE, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to City of Lawrence Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply on the public right-of-way in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Street and on 8^th Street from Pennsylvania Street to New Jersey Street on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for the Lawrence Beer Company Block Party event, provided the sale, possession, and consumption are pursuant to City of Lawrence and State of Kansas law.

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
