Executive Summary: |
In the early 1990’s the department installed vehicle emission exhaust systems in all fire medical locations. The working reliability of these systems is extremely poor and very expensive to maintain. Since that time new technology has emerged that will cycle ambient air/exhaust on a continuous basis.
The AirVac – 911 system will be installed as part of the FS No. 1 renovation. The installation of the same exhaust system in all fire medical facilities will capitalize on maintenance costs and operational efficacies.
This request is to ensure that all Fire Medical facilities are utilizing the same exhaust system.
