Receive overview on the Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical accreditation process. |

Executive Summary: |
The department will provide an overview of the accreditation process and findings of the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) from their recent site visit in early April 2018. Based on the CFAI’s findings, eighteen recommendations were published in the CFAI Accreditation Report for improvement.
In accordance with the new 9th Edition of the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) model, the department will present information related to its Community Risk Assessment and Standards of Cover.
CFAI 2D.8 On at least an annual basis, the agency formally notifies the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) of any gaps in the operational capabilities and capacity of its current delivery system to mitigate the identified risks within its service area, as identified in its standards of cover.
CFAI 2D.9 On at least an annual basis, the agency formally notifies the AHJ of any gaps between the current capabilities, capacity, and the level of service approved by the AHJ.
