Executive Summary: |
The city awarded the bid for the Kasold project to R.D. Johnson Excavating in February for $5,869,920.85. This project was included in both the 2017 and 2018 Budget and Capital Improvement Program (PW17E1CIP) with a budget of $8,075,000.
The project has incurred six change orders to date: 1) Addition of PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Cameras and equipment at the signalized intersections to connect to fiberoptic network ($18,601). 2) Lowering conduit for traffic signal wiring at Bob Billings intersection ($6796.50). 3) Irrigation repairs for Presbyterian Manor & University National Bank ($4782.51) 4) Addition of pedestrian push button pedestals and wiring at Bob Billings intersection ($7884.00). 5) Addition of Wavetronix radar emergency detection system at Bob Billings intersection ($11,791.00). 6) Irrigation repairs at 1119 Kasold & Central National Bank ($5910.36).
The Purchasing Policy requires Commission approval when the cumulative amount of change orders increases the original purchase order by more than $50,000.
