Executive Summary: |
An application was submitted by Casey’s Retail Company on behalf of multiple property owners to rezone approximately 0.27 acres to the CS (Commercial Strip) District located within the W. 6th Street corridor.
The applicant is seeking to rezone of a portion of both properties to facilitate the redevelopment of the southwest corner of W. 6th Street and Wisconsin Street. A copy of the related minor subdivision drawing and the site plan are attached as contextual references for this redevelopment. The rezoning request includes only the northern portion of the property located at 1710 W. 7th Street, retaining an area along W. 7th Street as RSO to provide a buffer between the commercial corridor and the southerly adjacent residential neighborhood.
The Planning Commission considered this item at their July 25, 2018 meeting and forwarded a unanimous recommendation for approval. (9-0). |
