Project Status.  Bids were received March 8, 2005.  The low bidder was Pavers, Inc. in an amount of $396,552.00. A cost breakdown is provided for each traffic calming device.  Engineer’s Estimate for the project was $345,060.00.  

 

Project Details.  The project is ready to construct.  The roundabout at Mulberry Drive and Harvard Road needs to be completed prior to Folks Road tying into the neighborhood (Folks Road bids March 15, 2005).  The roundabout at Goldfield Street and Harvard Road will be done after school is out.  The entire project must be complete prior to the fall semester.

 

Project Funding.  This project would be funded with general obligation bonds.  Resolution No. 6582 authorizes the total amount of $460,000 to include construction and engineering costs.

 

Action Request.  Award the contract to Pavers, Inc. in the amount of $396,552.00 for the Harvard Traffic Calming project.
