RE: |
Vacation of Pedestrian Easement, 1511 Hanscom Road (Jacqueline Juhl) & 1515 Hanscom Road (Jason and Joanna Bonee) |
Background
On December 15, 2015 the City Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the vacation of a pedestrian easement; described as:
The southeast corner of Lot 3, Block 2; and the northeast corner of Lot 4, Block 2, both a final plat of Hanscom-Tappan Addition a Subdivision in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas (aka 1511 Hanscom Road and 1515 Hanscom Road)
The owners of the properties are Jacqueline Juhl (1511 Hanscom Road), and Jason and Joanna Bonee (1515 Hanscom Road). The proposed vacation states that the pedestrian easement is unnecessary to the community since the HOA is not planning on building a sidewalk.
All utilities, as well as property owners within 200 feet, were notified. Hanscom-Tappan Addition, Inc (HOA) has given their support for this vacation, which is included in the application and submittal packet. No objections were received. The existing utility easement will not be vacated.
Action Request
Hold public hearing and pending discussion, approve order of vacation for the pedestrian easement located between 1511 Hanscom Road and 1515 Hanscom Road, as requested by property owners Jacqueline Juhl and Jason and Joanna Bonee.
