Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Adopt of first reading, Ordinance No. 9559, amending the term expirations so that no more than two-fifths of the Board’s terms shall expire each year.
Executive Summary:		At its meeting on April 17, 2018, the City Commission took action to add an additional appointment to the Affordable Housing Advisory Board. That action increased the number of appointees to 13. The ordinance included language that indicated that no more than one-third of the Board’s terms shall expire in a given year. However, when the Board increased to 13 members with three-year terms, more than one-third of the Board’s terms will expire every third year. Therefore, the recommended ordinance changes the ratio from one-third to two-fifths to account for that third year when five (5) terms will expire. The Affordable Housing Advisory Board discussed this item at its meeting on August 13, 2018 and recommended approval 11-0.
